PRIME TIME
Purpose
The purpose of the Prime Time Ministry (formerly known as 50+) is to promote a vital, loving atmosphere of fellowship with those of mature age and a desire to enjoy and help one another. We plan to meet and share mutual interests; have monthly luncheons with different special features, speakers and entertainment; various monthly activities, and trips of reasonable price so that all who wish to participate can do so.
Activities
Monthly luncheons are held the third Thursday of each month at the church family center (gym) beginning at 11:30am and will usually be finished by 1pm. EVERY SENIOR ADULT IS WELCOME and urged to bring a friend. We will advertise via Newsletters or in the Sunday bulletin, and flyers in the Communication Center Files. Please watch for dates, menus, costs, and special features.
Each month we endeavor to schedule at least one activity in addition to the luncheons. Previously we've enjoyed trips to the Old Time Fiddlers Festival, the Gaither Concert, the beach in the summer, the Passion Play, IMAX showings and Flight Museum tours, Skagit Tulip Festival, Woodland Grist Mill and Lilac Gardens, hayrides, caroling parties, viewing the Kite Flying contest at Westport, a Mystery Dinner, the Thomas Kincaid Museum, a train trip, Mt. Rainier, etc. See the Church Calendar for our next activity.
Each year a special project contribution has been collected for the benefit of the church at large. Past funds have been used to purchase hymnals, projection equipment, folding chairs and other practical, one time needs.
Leadership
Prime Time has an elected ministry counsel consisting of: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Hospitality Chair and three members at large.
